From April 1, 2024, the Berlin bed tax will apply to all overnight stays, including business trips.

This amounts to 5% of the net accommodation price.

There are a few exceptions, such as school trips, hospital stays or damage to your apartment as a Berlin resident.

The hotel is obliged to withhold this tax and forward it to the responsible tax office.
